Project Officer – Shelter


Job Summary


CRS is seeking a Shelter Project Officer to support CRS’ Emergency Shelter programming activities within the Gaza Strip, with a focus on the north and flexibility to travel across the Gaza Strip. CRS is currently implementing shelter programming through distributing emergency shelter solutions and shelter kits (NFIs).


As a member of the shelter team you will monitor and report on all project activities in support of Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.

Basic Qualifications


  1. Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in the field of civil, building, Architect engineering or related.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of work experience in project support, ideally in the field of shelter in emergencies and for an NGO.
  3. Additional experience may substitute for some education.
  4. Required Languages - Arabic fluency and strong professional English is required
  5. Travel - Must be willing and able to travel through the Gaza Strip.
