The Center for Mind-Body Medicine (CMBM) is a nonprofit organization started working in OPt the last 20 years, committed to helping communities around the world heal from population-wide trauma. Whether impacted by war, violence, climate-related disasters, public health crises, poverty, racism, or other widespread challenges, CMBM partners with local leaders to implement a trauma-relief model.
This model integrates evidence-based self-care methodologies with the cultural values and wisdom of each community.
Position Title: Media Coordinator
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Overview:
The Media Coordinator will play a crucial role in advancing the organization's mission through strategic media outreach, digital advocacy, and public engagement. This individual will focus on amplifying the organization’s message, managing social media platforms, creating convincing short video content, and leading advocacy efforts to increase visibility for key achievements. The role requires a dynamic, creative individual with strong media skills and a passion for social justice and community-driven causes.
Job Responsibilities
Key Area 1: Strategies and Media
- Develop, produce, and manage multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and digital presentations for various platforms, including social media, websites, newsletters, WhatsApp groups, and online advertising.
- Collaborate with projects and field teams to create and implement media strategies that align with the organization’s goals and target reach.
Key Area 2: Content Making
- Oversee or contribute to video shoots, editing, and post-production work to create promotional and educational videos.
- Captures and creates exceptional content for our activities.
- Executes standard photography operation procedures including image editing techniques, tools, processes, and guidelines.
- Oversee layout (artwork, design, photography) and check content for accuracy and errors
Key Area 3: Communications and Posting
- Manage and monitor social media accounts, ensuring timely posting and engagement with followers; analyze performance metrics to optimize strategies.
- Responding to user comments and questions on social media
- Reviewing posts to ensure alignment with organizational values and branding
Key Area 4: Research, Reporting and Documentation
- Track and report on media performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continual improvement.
- Provide technical support and training to team members on media best practices and tools.
- Research and stay current on industry trends and advancements in multimedia technology
- Manage and organize multimedia assets and archives
Key Area 5: Commitment to work and ethical guidelines
- Comply with media law and ethical guidelines
- Meet deadlines and budget requirements
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in multimedia design, journalism, marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a multimedia role
- Have a professional camera.
- Experience with video production and editing
- Strong writing/editing/proofreading skills and an excellent portfolio
- Excellent technical skills in multimedia design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, and other media tools.
- In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and audience engagement strategies.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform decisions and improve campaign performance.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Contract Duration:
3 months Contract to be renewed, based on the fund availability.

All team members are required to comply with CMBM’s Code of Conduct, which enshrines the principles of PSEA at all times, including outside of work hours.
Completion of PSEA training and demonstrated adherence to the Code of Conduct are mandatory for all staff.
