Marketing and Communication Assistant


AL-Majd Association for Development – Gaza is hiring a marketing assistant to keep our organization running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple projects for key stakeholders and maintaining excellent communication. An effective marketing assistant should be 
organised, communicative, and able to prioritise while working on various projects

: Key Responsibilities

  • Support the marketing team through the organizational and administrative support for various media projects.
  • Maintain strong communication between marketing executives and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver presentations on behalf of the donors’ marketing teams.
  • Conduct research for key marketing campaigns.
  • Perform research to understand what’s happening in Gaza and Palestine and incorporate findings into each donor campaign for better results.
  • Research & produce a weekly list of news articles on Gaza and/or Palestine (published in the last 7 days)
  • Upload pictures, videos, statistics, and case studies to Teams Channel.
  • Write simple, easy to understand, copy in modern standard English (UK) - for monthly blogs and newsletters
  • Build and manage the social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant.
  • Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both donors’ brands and our contents.
  • Work alongside other marketers and content marketers to help distribute content that educates and entertains audience and supports marketing goals.
  • Receiving beneficiaries’ feedback and assisting in evaluating different programs, projects, and activities.
  • Plan schedules for delegations and visitors in line with set goals and approved requirements for project.
  • Receiving and escorting related delegations and visitors to the required visits and events in accordance with project goals.
  • Any related tasks required by the direct supervisor.


Requirements


  1. Bachelor degree in English, Marketing, Media, Public Relations, or other related field from a recognized university.
  2. Experience in managing multiple projects and adhering to deadlines.
  3. Clear copywriting and editing skills for writing simple, easy to understand, copy in modern standard English (UK)
  4. Strong organizational, communication skills.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams and SharePoint.
  6. Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) and content management system (CMS) platforms.
  7. Research and analytical skills.
  8. An understanding of digital marketing tools and tactics.
  9. Proficient in Arabic and interpreting and translating into English and vice versa.

Please note that the first 3 months will be a trial period with a monthly salary starting from US$ 450 subject to qualifications and experience.


The successful applicant will sign projects funding staff contract as this position depends on the project/projects fund availability.
