Action Against Hunger (ACF) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit making organisation working in the Palestinian Territory since 2002.
ACF is recruiting for its Gaza office a
Administrative Assistant
For a period of 6 months

The Candidate will:

-Perform secretarial tasks which include but not limited to: answering phone calls, letter preparation, photocopying, faxing, filing and scanning of documents.
-Manage the Gaza petty cash daily. Collect, classify and record the expense receipts in accordance with ACF internal rules and generally accepted accounting principles. Prepare cash and bank books for the Gaza office and send these to the Base Administrator on a weekly / monthly basis, and enter expenses to SAGA according to the accountancy Handbook.
-Follow up monthly accountancy, photocopy & filing of documents.
-Support and  prepare monthly reports regarding providers, local partners, third party codes, expenditures
-Assist on the revision and validation of documents for payment (providers, local partners, salaries, per diem…) according to ACF and /or donor procedures.
-Prepare and file of bank transfer and cheques according to the payment request validation Assist in the follow up with partners and beneficiary institutions on financial matters concerning the project and contract funds.
-Conduct visits to local partners when necessary to ensure proper and timely utilization and justification of funds.
-Inform and consolidate payments information and documents with Technical and Logistics Departments.
-Assist in the reception, screening, test and interview of candidates during the recruitment process.
-Assist in the revision of documents and references of the candidates in order to send the job offer.
-Support in the induction period of new staff assuring her/his interviews and the availability of equipment.
-Follow up on attendance and leaves of Gaza staff members and on employee health insurance reimbursements.
-Prepare and send monthly salary sheet to the Base Administrator
-Prepare the treasury forecast based on project and office needs and send to the Base Administrator.
-Support the Base Administrator in the preparation of the CCP and/or BFU reports and meetings.
-Prepare all financial documents for external audits
-Prepare a “closed contracts” filing report in a quarterly basis.
-Assist in the compiling and archiving of contract physical documents.
-Translate documents as required.
-Participate in weekly base coordination meetings.
-Participate in the writing of internal monthly administrative reports.

Profile of the Candidate:

-Bachelor degree in business administration, finance or any related field.
-Knowledge of Accounting, SAGA accounting program,  office Administration and HR Management.
-At least 2 years’ experience in administration and accounting; experience with an NGO is a plus.
-Good Interpersonal and communication skills.
-Excellent command of English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
-Excellent computer skills, Excel and Word.
-Able to travel to Jerusalem and West bank with staying overnight.
